The Southern Fleurieu Youth Advisory Committee: (YAC)
Is a team of young people aged 12-25 years from the Alexandrina and the City of Victor Harbor council regions.
The YAC meet on a regular basis and represent their local community on youth issues.
The YAC provides a great opportunity for young people to be heard, develop skills, consult with the local youth community and influence government decisions.
The YAC play a key role in advising Councils on issues relating to youth.
YAC works on youth projects and events as well as promoting and celebrating young people whose talents and initiatives have a positive impact on the Southern Fleurieu community.
The Southern Fleurieu Youth Advisory Committee meets every 3 weeks and is a formal advisory committee to local council. Representatives from Alexandrina & City of Victor Harbor Council as well as the Southern Fleurieu Health Service are members of the YAC. The Youth Development Officer of the Alexandrina & City of Victor Harbor coordinates the YAC.
