Impress! Youth mag
An initiative of the YAC, this is a youth quarterly mag put together by young people for young people across the region.
Impress A sub committee of the YAC first came up with the idea as a means of giving young people a voice and a way of sharing information. So, they got their heads together and were successful in applying for funds from Foundation for Young Australians to assist with the production of the first few issues – they are now working on the 4th issue!
We have a new committee working on content, design and lay out and we want your ideas!

STRUTH Radio “ the voice of youth on the Fleurieu”
STRUTH FM now has a new team!
4 new members from YAC have undertaken training and are busy planning and producing their own shows on Great Southern fm – 90.1. Struth Tim Carter, Anja Healted, Matthew Woodward, Ben Pettmen and Eliza Moule are the new crew on the airwaves on Tuesday nights from 6pm-8pm with regular guest spots from Ethan Waye and Tim Carter as Producer they are the new voice of youth on the fleurieu”.
STRUTH radio includes interviews, discussions on current issues local, national and international, information, music, movie reviews and on line radio plays.and lots of fun!
STRUTH radio promotes local youth events and services, provides young people with an on-air forum to have a voice and a positive impact in their local community.

Youth Event Team

Another innovative team from the YAC. After undergoing training in Event Management and having hands on experience in putting on a successful Youth Week 2006 Event (Show Us Ya Shorts film Fests), followed by Off The Wall art exhibition opening then live music events Fusion 06 and Fusion 07, YAC members are becoming more and more experienced in staging locally based youth events. The team was formed to take on the task of planning and managing youth events locally!

Made up of YAC members and local young performers, musicians and film makers, this team works together to plan and put on local youth events for young people aged 12-25 years across the region.
