An initiative of the YAC, this is a youth quarterly mag put together by young people for young people across the ren.Impress
A sub- committee of the YAC first came up with the idea as a means of giving young people a voice and a way of sharing information. So, they got their heads together and were successful in applying for funds from Foundation for Young Australians to assist with the production of the first few issues – they are now working on the 4th issue!
We have a new committee working on content, design and lay out and we want your ideas! Get involved!

STRUTH Radio “ the voice of youth on the Fleurieu”
Struth
STRUTH5EFM is the number one youth radio show on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Broadcasting from the 5EFM studio in Victor Harbor on Tuesday nights from 6pm, listeners get 2 hours of youth targeted radio time, including music, local issues, and fun interviews.
This years team is Em-J Gregory, Donna Stewart, Luke Allen and Simone Jowett, with producer and brain child of the STRUTH-y concept, Tim Carter.
You can tune in to 89.3 if you're living on the South Coast, or 94.7 if you're listening from Strathalbyn or Yankalilla.

Another innovative team from the YAC. After undergoing training in Event Management and havinghands on experience in putting on a successful Youth Week 2006 Event (Show Us Ya Shorts film Fests), followed by Off The Wall art exhibition opening then live music events Fusion 06 and Fusion 07, YAC members are becoming more and more experienced in staging locally based youth events. The team was formed to take on the task of planning and managing youth events locally!

Made up of YAC members and local young performers, musicians and film makers, this team works together to plan and put on local youth events for young people aged 12-25 years across the region.

If you are interested in being involved in planning and hosting events or if you are a young performer/band and want to expose your creative talents contact the Youth Development Officer on 8555 7000.

Show Us Ya Shorts! Youth Short Film Festival Youth Week 2010
Entries are open to anyone aged between 12-25 living in the Alexandrina council or City of Victor Harbor districts and neighbouring areas.
National Youth Week 2010 will be held from the 10th to 18th of April and Show us ya Shorts will be held in Victor Harbor at the town hall on Friday 16th April. An additional event will be held in the Alexandrina Council area, however the date and location are yet to be finalised.
Entries are open all year round and will close 5pm Friday 2nd April 2010.
